Signatures in Mail app.17 Mar 2007 08:04 GMT1
Why signatures are no longer appearing. It just says none, no matter
how many I create and they apper to be saved after I create them. I
reboot and al, and the signatures are there. I just can't get at them
when I create new mail. What am I missing?
How can I do this in Mail app.?17 Mar 2007 07:19 GMT2
Just create a folder to drag mail into and call it something like
Save? Seems simple but I can't do it. What am I missing?
How to change default boot system with Bootcamp?17 Mar 2007 05:20 GMT4
I installed Bootcamp on my wife's machine.  Works perfectly and solves
her need for occasional PC access.  However, whenever the system
reboots, it goes to the PC side rather than the Mac side (unless the
option key is held down).

iMovie HD17 Mar 2007 02:44 GMT3
Someone gave me a home movie that opens in iMovie HD 5.0.2 and
said he did not know of a way in his version of iMovie (probably
not HD) to edit it into separate chunks that could be then put
onto say different media. He says he can edit but the whole thing
QuickTime and the avi codec question (once again)17 Mar 2007 00:41 GMT17
A colleague has emailed me several movies with names like "movie01.avi".
They're technical graphics stuff, produced from iterated computer
graphics calculations, not from any kind of video source.  They appear
with a QT icon on my desktop but trying to play them brings up the
It's Tax Time Again! (PDF problems...)16 Mar 2007 16:35 GMT4
I was working on taxes yesterday evening...
I download PDFs from the IRS (the 1120S was one of them). These
PDFs allow you to use them as a form, and fill in the data onscreen
so that you have a neatly filled-in form to print. I began by using
Parallels - associate files with Windows applications16 Mar 2007 08:48 GMT7
At work, I'm using a brand-new MacBook Pro 17".  I need Parallels
because the rest of the organization uses Visio like mad, and we
have a couple of internal websites that do not function with any
browser except Internet Explorer.  I'd love to find a way to set
Safari/Finder and FTP sites16 Mar 2007 00:23 GMT6
Unlike other browsers such as FireFox or Opera, pointing Safari
something like ftp://mysite/dir/ doesn't display a directory itself, but
launches a Finder window to do this instead.

how to change format screen shots are saved in15 Mar 2007 19:36 GMT17
Where do I change the format that screen dumps are saved in? For some
mysterious reason, my iBook (running Tiger) has defaulted to .png.
And, yes, I've first gone to the Help system, but it's...no help. It
tells me how to resave it to another format (I already know how to do
Synchronising audio and video15 Mar 2007 17:57 GMT6
I must confess to be very ignorant when it comes to doing multimedia
authoring, but I need to create a DVD consisting of video and audio tracks.
Basically I will record my daughter playing her violin, using
semiprofessional audio recording gear (which will produce a WAV file) and ...
Looking for simple audio editing app15 Mar 2007 17:23 GMT16
I've been using SoundEffects (http://www.riccisoft.com/soundeffects/)
for years. It's a pretty simple program really, but it has let me work
fast. Now I'm looking for something similar (and preferrably free as
well) for MacOS 10.4.8, but I'm not having much success.
