Can't book from DiskWarrior23 Mar 2007 21:18 GMT5
I just upgraded to a new MacBook from my old G4, and can't get the
laptop to boot up from my DW CD. When I load it and restart holding
down the C the system boots up as normal, i.e., on the hard disk. If I
hold down Option on restart, the only disk it finds is the hard disk.

10.4.9 Menu Bar23 Mar 2007 03:59 GMT11
Just upgraded to 10.4.9.  I notice a band of gray about 4 pixels tall
running through the center of the menu bar at the top of the screen.
I'd swear it wasn't there before.  Very annoying.
I checked the screen with Tech Tool Pro and verified that it's not a

G4 won't recognise printer22 Mar 2007 21:29 GMT5
We have a G4 with OSX, and an Epson CX6200. The G4 has of recent ceased to
recognise the printer for printing (ie letters etc), although it will for
scanning and then printing the scan. When I scan for printers, the program
sees the 6200, but it doesn't transfer that recognition ...
Safari issues - DEBUG in menu bar & no sign-in window22 Mar 2007 17:27 GMT16
iMac G4, 1Ghz, 10.3.9 & Safari 1.3.2
I recently had some issues involving connectivity via Safari and went
back to basics by DL'ing the 1.2 (?) version and building back.
Now for some reason the Safari menu diplays a <DEBUG> menu drop column
Open Office is a fully licensed alternative software to Microsoft Office22 Mar 2007 17:22 GMT2
Don't be fooled by illegal copies of Microsoft Office selling for 49$
- 69$. These are not licensed copies and could end up costing you more
than $100,000 in copyright fines or willful infringement. Open Office
is a fully licensed alternative software to Microsoft Office. Get the

I have an older Titanium Powerbook with the latest Safari and Mac OS
update. Still using the previous Airport extreme. After putting
Powerbook to sleep I often have to reboot the computer to get Safari to
connect. Anyone else had this problem or know a fix?

If I have a thumb drive and put a Power Point (Mac) presentation on it can I
take it to work and transfer it to a PC? Will the PC be able to read the
drive?

Hogwasher behavior when unregistered22 Mar 2007 03:50 GMT6
Back in the day, a post made from a bogus/ripped-off version of Hogwasher
would have the following at the end of the entered text. Anyone know if it
still does it? (And, FWIW, I've been a paid user of the Hog since the v.1
days.)
