Is there an app that would check spelling in an e-mail in Mail by
offering substitutes and definitions and maybe synonyms instead of
just underlying or relying on services and the pull down menu?

For the sake of continuity I am curious if I can have my mac mail
account outgoing mail appear as if it is comming from my gmail
account??

I am running 10.4.8. The SMTP Server works but the POP sever has
issues. It doens't accept  incoming mail, "Can't Open/Connect to port
110."

I am runnign Mac OS 10.4 Server and when I configure Apple Mail client
to connect to the  Server from a laptop or desktop it says it can't
open Port 110. Any ideas or solutions?

...actually, not entirely randomly, but it seems to be when I just do
something like try to pull a menu down -- Firefox just sort of pauses
for a moment, then goes down in flames.

The is a a song I want to make a duplicate of. I want to stop it at a
certain point but keep the original untouched.

I have 11 pictures that I need to stitch together in a two dimensional
grid (2 high by six wide, with the bottom right corner missing).  What's
the best way to handle it?  I tried doing it with Graphic Converter, and
it didn't work well (the Merge Folder into one Image option ...

When I get e-mails with Logos and what not (RTF, I assume) and I hit
print in Mail and the PDF, I get a PDF but portions are missing,
entire blocks of copy. What gives?

If I attach it they report it comes through huge.  If I reduce the
image (bottom right drop down in mail), it still goes out in-line.
I want to send an *attachment*.  I want that *attachment* to be a file.
I don't want them to have to mess with a zip, as they can't.

After doing an OS 10.3 re-installation for another problem, I now find
these anomalies in my Address Book: (1) I can open the address book,
but can't edit entries nor change preferences (attempts gets me a non-
responding app which I have to force quit). (2) From Mail, clicking on

I have put some URLs in a Word document. They appear in blue. I click
on a URL in the Word doc and go to its web location.
I change the doc from Word to pdf and open it in Adobe Acrobat. The

I have been contemplating "getting into" Mac video editing.
Problem is, I know absolutely  _nothing_  about video editors.

A Graphic Designer has sent me a several samples of his work in a PDF
document.
The curious thing is, that when opened in Preview it displays his work
correctly.
