DVD Authoring Software for Macs28 Feb 2007 23:21 GMT11
Is there _really_ no DVD authoring software for the Mac other than DVD
Studio Pro (which the pirates at Apple won't sell unless you buy the
whole "Studio" bundle)?  iDVD doesn't count, it's low-level dreck, you
can get the same results out of Toast.

I have downloaded an attachment/article via Hogwasher and then inadvertently
deleted same!! How do I re-download what is  now a read / downloaded article?
Just removing the read status does not seem to help.
Thanks

Spotlight won't search trash in Mail28 Feb 2007 03:58 GMT3
I have two computers: an iMac G5 and a PowerBook G4. Mail is set up
identically on both computers to check a couple of accounts -- one IMAP,
one POP.
On the G5, Spotlight searches will turn up messages in Mail's trash. On
Eudora OS 9.2 -> Tiger/Intel28 Feb 2007 01:52 GMT7
I have an order in for an Intel based imac (24 in screen). All
this time, for various reasons, I've mainly been working in OS
9.2.2 on my G4 (dual 500 Hz, 384 RAM) - although I do have OS
10.2.8 on this machine that I have dipped into from time to time.

Dear newsgroup,
Since I switched to Apple only very recently, I am still trying to
find my way around. One of my main areas of frustration is... photos
and video. Essentially, I am looking for software that equally fast,

[9.2.2] Why gray screen sometimes on wake from sleep?27 Feb 2007 16:09 GMT2
My G4 Sawtooth appears to be dying a slow death (I know that J21 has a
problem, so I no longer use it), and so I experience occasional
problems with it, most of which are memory-related. The latest anomaly
I've noticed, that's just started happening recently, is that, from
Macintosh Mail 1.3.1127 Feb 2007 06:50 GMT4

how do I turn off Spotlight?26 Feb 2007 21:31 GMT15
I really can't find any use for it other than to tell everybody and
their cat what's on my hard disk. How do turn it off? I tried dragging
it out of the System Preferences folder, but it just copies itself.
How do I _turn_it_off_?

Re-arranging mail.app folders26 Feb 2007 14:54 GMT8
I organize my e-mail into different folders in the left pane of
mail.app. The default behavior seems to list the folders in
alphabetical order.  However, some of the folders that I access
frequently are at the bottom of the list. I tried to drag them to the
