browsers quitting13 Jan 2007 02:33 GMT8
Recently, both Safari and Netscape are abruptly quitting in the middle
of browsing and I get the message  "Mozilla unexpectedly quit.  Do you
want to report the incident?".  I have sent reports, but they seem to
disappear into thin air, i.e., I don't hear anything back.
yEnc encoding13 Jan 2007 02:02 GMT10
I've been requested to post  a mp3 file to a binary newsgroup and I've
searched the internet looking for a way to encode the file with yEnc and
have not found any helpful information, many articles on decoding yEnc
files. My news reader MT Newswatcher can decode yEnc files but ...

I use Thoth 1.8.3, Mac OSX 10.4.8, and the news server
news.chi.sbcglobal.net .
Since yesterday (10/10) afternoon, I am not able to download new
articles in normal fashion. When I check for new articles nothing newer

Problem caused by new DSL modem?12 Jan 2007 22:12 GMT24
My AT&T DSL modem crapped out the other day and I had to buy a new one.
Everything seems to be working fine, except that a couple of websites
are giving us trouble. I can't long on to my online banking service at
chase.com. I can get to the homepage,  but when I try logging into the
iCal/iSync question12 Jan 2007 21:53 GMT3
I have several calendars set up within iCal in order to keep track of
various projects + the default "Home" and "Work" calendars. When
iSync'ing my Nokia 6260 with my PowerBook, if I've made appointments in
the Nokia calendar, when iCal is updated, it's the "Home" Calendar which
Help please with Mac intel MIDI apps12 Jan 2007 20:39 GMT1
I used to be a PC user (not a troll) but I prefer the Mac.  I've worked
with an iMac 20" intel core duo and a G4 eMac recently.  I'm trying to
find a most excellent MIDI editor / sequencer that allows the user to
view the event list and do detailed editing there of tempo, volume, ...
Apple Mail - preview pane and mailboxes 'drawer' location12 Jan 2007 14:16 GMT7
I'm pretty sure that when I bought my machine (iBook G4, 10.4.8 now)
that the preview pane default was to the right of the mail window.  I
didn't like it there and my sales guy moved it to the bottom of the
window.  I'd like to move it back (just for the heckuvit, really) and
iWeb icon in dock12 Jan 2007 13:56 GMT2
When it's open, there's a white number (it changes sometimes) in a red
circle.  What does it mean?  I can't make a connection with the number
and anything else.
Thanks - again!

of B.S. like others who are offering the same thing. No, you will NOT

Can someone help me identify this old Mac game?11 Jan 2007 17:43 GMT8
I played a game on the mac many years ago now which I thought was called
Pharoah or something similar.  In it you played a pharoah and the ultimate
goal was to build your own pyramid - you had 50 years or something to
complete the task using slaves.  You were also required to farm ...

Did any such Mac-Hypercard virus exist in the year 1994 that would flip
