What type of microphone do I use with the mac mini? I tried as tero
microphone that works fine on other computers and it failed. I can run a
mono line in from the radio and the sound from the device is recorded.
Do I need a mono microphone?

I am using Sizzle DVD software and need to convert audio (as it is in
aif format) into either:
-.AC3,
- MPEG Layer-II,  or

I've been using Now Up To Date & Contact since at least 1997, probably
earlier -- a lot of "sunk costs" and time invested in learning these two
apps; currently 1700 contacts; a decade of calendar records.
