Parallels question20 Dec 2006 10:03 GMT4
Been using Boot Camp on a Mac Book and it is okay although it's a pain
to reboot, basically just to use Outlook, which is all I use Windows
for (tried iCal, Entourage, etc. -- not the same, at least for me; I
need Outlook). But when I loaded a trial version of Parallels, it
Rescue trashed file20 Dec 2006 03:09 GMT5
I trashed my iTunes folder from my Music folder (don't ask!)
consequently I have lost all of my playlists etc.
I only did this yesterday, so perhaps the files are still on my HD.
Question is, how can I find deleted files on my HD?
Audacity->iTunes->CD20 Dec 2006 01:55 GMT7
I have been saving songs from my vinyl as .aiff files and then
importing them into iTunes where they work just perfectly. Now, if I
want to burn a CD for my car, is there anything I else I need to do to
the files other than burn them?
Desktop Manager20 Dec 2006 01:11 GMT10
Anyone use <http://desktopmanager.berlios.de/>?
I tried it, seemed good for a while. Good enough to make me want
it to start with my login. For some reason, after this, it never
displayed the window icons in the top menu and there seemed no
iTunes library19 Dec 2006 23:31 GMT2
Until recently I had an iBook with its 30gig HD and a G4 tower
(sawtooth) with an 80gig HD.  When I got the tower, I copied my iTunes
folder from my XP to the Mac.  All the music played as one would hope.
I just got a PowerBook and I want to move the music to the PowerBook
Mac Mail problem19 Dec 2006 21:32 GMT4
While deleting mail account from my list in mail preferences,
the mail program deleted everything in the in box of another
account that I wanted to keep from the other mail service.
Anyway to get it back? Any unerase programs out there for
ports for iTunes radio stations?19 Dec 2006 20:14 GMT1
I'm behind a firewall that blocks all outbound ports, save for a few.
I can add ports, but I'm not sure which ones I'd need to add to get
iTunes radio stations to work.  I've tried the ones listed at
<http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106439> to no avail.
Moving Aperture to a new computer19 Dec 2006 18:22 GMT5
I bought a new MacBook Pro to replace my old PowerBook (yay!). I transferred
the data from the old computer to the new one as suggested. There have been a
few glitches, but the biggest one is in Aperture: Aperture still insists on
looking for files on the old PowerBook's drive. ...
Which mac app for a translation with commentary?19 Dec 2006 13:35 GMT4
I am preparing a line-by-line translation of a Greek text (i.e. line
1-Greek; line 2-trans of 1; line 3-Greek; line 4-trans of 3 etc.).
I also want to be able to 'comment' certain words in the Greek (maybe a
bubble in the margin? - like Word's 'comment' feature).
Different formats of same song in iTunes18 Dec 2006 23:03 GMT8
I copied a CD to my computer, where it resided as .aiff files. I copied
them into iTunes and deleted the 'source' copies. Then I converted them
to .mp3 files to save space. Now I can't find the .aiff files, and
iTunes shows two copies of each track. Is there a way to identifie
ITunes not showing songs from IPod18 Dec 2006 22:03 GMT5
How come itunes no longer sees the songs on my ipod.  The ipod just
shows up as an external D: drive in itunes.  Can i fix it without
jumping through major hoops?

Can Clips Be emailed?18 Dec 2006 20:23 GMT10
Once video footage is on a computer, can a small part be sent to others
via email or some other method, the way still pictures can?  Or does
it have to appear on a site where it's "hosted" such as You Tube?  How
would one go about sending footage stored on a Mac to another source?
