I've got some VIDEO_TS files of musical performances that work fine in VLC Media Player, but don't play in QuickTime. And once burned to DVD-R, there is no audio when played via DVD PLayer or on a standalone DVD player...

Is there a (free) application that works just like a text-editor (e.g. "TextEdit" etc.) but has pre-defined forms making it easier to cleanly make lists of things? Sure, I can enter stuff in any text-editor, but it doesn't look good.

i'd like to put a cd-rw into my mac and use backup (or deja vu) to backup nightly; but it appears that i have to manually erase the cdrw each day first. is there a way to just leave a cdrw in a mac and have it rewritten each night?

One machine in my network (198.168.58.10) runs a WebDAV server for all the iCal applications on the other machines. Everything was running fine in Panther. Upgraded the server machine to latest Tiger, everything still runs fine. Then I upgraded one of the other machines
