MS OneNote Clone for Mac05 Nov 2006 10:58 GMT3
Has anyone found an app written for OS X that's almost identical to MS
OneNote in features?
I'm not just looking for note-taking but organized journaling, notes,
pictures, snippets, drawings like OneNote does inside one app.
Looking for a good business customer database program for the Mac05 Nov 2006 07:34 GMT4
I have a online retail business and am working on always expanding my
customer database.  I never really had an organized system on the PC
but now that I'm switching to Mac I've decided it's time to get a good
system.
[9.2.2] iCab 3.0.3 crashes when trying to go anywhere05 Nov 2006 06:01 GMT25
Having no option at this time to switch to OS X, I'm using 9.2.2 on a
Power Mac G4 (AGP graphics) with a 1.5GHz processor and 1.37GB of RAM.
I've allocated 100MB to iCab's minimum size, and 150MB to preferred
size. I never use Virtual memory. I can get a blank window when
OS 9 compatible web browser - mozilla variant?05 Nov 2006 05:51 GMT66
I'm looking for a decent web browser compatible with OS 9. I vaguely
recall hearing that there was a version built upon the Mozilla or
Firefox code base. Does anyone recall the name of the application?
U.S. patent images and "jfx" format?05 Nov 2006 03:52 GMT15
The website of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
  <http://www.uspto.gov/patft/index.html>
is not the friendliest site on the web, especially for Mac users who
want to download patent images.  In general, if I locate a specific
Still having Mac Help Opening Issues05 Nov 2006 02:37 GMT2
I cannot find my posts from earlier, so here I go again. Some gentleman
suggested the throwing away of help cashe and renaming the Help folder.
It worked for a while then started making a new help folder but still
the Help Mac is blank, but all the helps for the applications work.

website, http://virtuedesktops.info/ seems to be totally offline.
Sourceforge still has 0.52 here:

Small Database for G5 iMac04 Nov 2006 21:17 GMT7
Up until Christmas last year, when I ran a Windows PC, I maintained a
Christmas Card list for my wife using Microsoft Works.  I still have the file
in .wdb format.
Now I have a G5 iMac that can't open or read the file.  Can anyone tell me if
Solid *small* small-business app?04 Nov 2006 20:26 GMT4
A friend just got an iMac and is starting a small home business with a
newly formed LLC. He is not computer-savvy (or very experienced with
Macs) and needs a basic and inexpensive app to create and keep track of
invoices and paid/unpaid bills. No payroll is needed.
iPhoto qery04 Nov 2006 16:20 GMT10
I am FAR from in love with what iPhoto does with my fotos, but have
manually moved the fotos into rationally-named folders where I can find
them from other applications without searching through a long string of
"rolls" with 2-3 fotos in them. I notice iPhoto still keeps using ...

ATTN Hogwasher users RE: googlegrops users' behavior03 Nov 2006 18:41 GMT16
I assume that you, as do I, love Hogwasher's Subscriptions' abilities to
filter cross-posts. I urge you to consider emailing the good folks at Asar
(well, Kurt) to further enhance this ability so as to grapple with the
multiple posts from googlegroups users. While I hope that ...

iDisk confusion03 Nov 2006 11:58 GMT1
This is probably a silly question, but how can I tell the difference between
my actual iDisk which appears on my desktop and a local copy? It appears as
a globe named "iDisk. I cannot eject it (I get an error message saying that
it cannot be ejected and advises me to quit ...
