Okay okay before you jump on me this is a registered version of Halo
and yes I have the cd, why does this stupid game ask me to put the cd
in everytime I play?   That is so annoying, the pc version is slightly
better and doesnt do this but it's nice to play a game and not have to

When viewing local .html files on my machine (Tiger, just before
10.4.8 - I'm just a tad scared of the 4.8 update), the bullet
points in the <li>s don't scale with the font when changing
browser text-size view in iCab (3.0.3) until browser is refreshed

I am using 10.4.8 on an Intel Mini. The Address Book has data, but
seems to be locked.  I can't Edit or add cards.  In Mail when I try to
add an address from a message it appears to work but the entry doesn't
go anywhere.  I am using Address Book on two older iBooks also with

Just downloaded OpenOffice.org 2.app to see what if it will do as
a word processor. First thing it says when trying to open is that
one needs to install Apple X11. What is this when it is at home?
And how does one do this in the simplest way?
10.4.8 broke my Mail.app12 Oct 2006 01:15 GMT6
I use Mail.app with SSL to access one of my email accounts.
After the 10.4.8 system upgrade, IMAP/SSL still works ok, but
SMTP/SSL complains about the server certificate (which is valid)
and gets into a loop of continuously opening and abandoning
