Reading ClarisDraw documents23 Oct 2006 21:34 GMT7
Are there any OS X native apps that can work with ClarisDraw documents?
Not interested in classic apps; I have ClarisWorks.

Browser Won't Insert Text23 Oct 2006 20:03 GMT1
Mac G4 1.8Ghz running 10.3. Occasionally, various webpages will not
accept inserted text in Safari, Mozilla, and Firefox. Rebooting,
re-installing,
repairing permissions, doesn't work.
IMAP for Treo23 Oct 2006 17:54 GMT2
Does anyone know if it's possible to use IMAP instead of POP mail on a
Treo?
It looks like Versamail can't do it.
How do I bring Sountrack files w/markers into Final Cut Pro?23 Oct 2006 12:05 GMT1
I'm trying to bring a Soundtrack Pro file with time markers into Final
Cut Pro, and retain the markers. Is there a way to do this? I tried
both export from SP then import into FCP, also tried simply opening the
SP file from within FCP and also dragging in the SP file. None seem to
Determining if a DVD is PAL or NTSC format23 Oct 2006 11:07 GMT6
Is there an OS X utility out there that can
determine if a DVD is in PAL or NTSC format?
Thanks,

Mail won't read the body of older messages23 Oct 2006 07:06 GMT1
Today a few system hiccups left me with none of my e-mail accounts
extant in Mail itself. When I started up Mail, it acted like it was the
first time I'd used it and asked for my .mac account password (I've
never used that account). Four POP accounts were not there, so
WiFi connections away from home22 Oct 2006 16:58 GMT4
I just got back from a many week trip where WiFi was available in almost all
the motels.  My Mac (OS 10.4.8) failed to connect in almost all of them.  In
a few, I didn't see a network, so they made sense.  In others, I had a strong
signal but didn't get any kind of connection.
Mail.app Q: How to delete account without deleting mail22 Oct 2006 16:14 GMT10
The last time I deleted (or de-activated) an email account in Mail, as I
recall, it deleted the associated emails as well. Is there a way to
retain the emails (both sent and received) in my Inbox/Sent folders?
Thanks again all,
Movies on iweb22 Oct 2006 14:57 GMT2
I recently put some movie clips on my website with iweb. A friend told me he
cannot access the movies from his Windows computer. Says he gets an alert
about requiring Active X. What does this mean?
Toast issue: VIDEO_TS folder appears to be damaged22 Oct 2006 11:32 GMT1
Anyway around this problem ? Toast 7.1 will not even offer to make a DVD
of this folder from the video tab, and from the Copy tab it displays the
name of  the image file.
Haven't tried to burn it yet, but I guess the resulting DVD will appear
ipay.adp.com vs. Safari22 Oct 2006 04:54 GMT2
I recently started a new job, and one of the great things was that I was
able to get them to give me a MacBook as my desktop computer.
However, the web site they use for employees to view their pay stubs is
ipay.adp.com.  For some reason, this site doesn't work with Safari.
Safari opening new windows under old one22 Oct 2006 04:51 GMT13
I'm running Tiger 10.4.8.  I'm not sure when it started, but for some
time I've noticed that when Safari opens a link in a new window, the
window is usually opened under the existing window, rather than on top.
This happens when I Cmd-click on a link, or when I click on a link ...
MT_Newswatcher and recovering a message21 Oct 2006 23:22 GMT15
You have MT open. You have looked at the messages and/or marked
all as read. You close the window with the summaries of the
articles on a particular group and you are staring at your
myGroups window and the group you are concerned with has no
Mac Mail Converts PDFs to JPG.21 Oct 2006 20:13 GMT28
When I attach a PDF to a Mail message; the recipient receives it as a
JPEG. I get the same result when sending to people who use Gmail or
Outlook.  To me this is a BUG, if I wanted to send a JPEG I would - I
need to be able to trust when I send a PDF it stays a PDF.
Creating blank audio21 Oct 2006 17:48 GMT2
I'd like to create a blank audio file to insert a space in an iTunes
playlist. Can anyone recommend some freeware/shareware software that
would allow me to do this?
Thanks, Mark
