iCal prints calendars too wide03 Oct 2006 16:20 GMT1
iCal insists on printing monthly calendars (month view) that are too
wide for the letter size paper used. Each week is about 1/16 inch too
wide which means that Sunday and Saturday get lopped off a bit and and
so do any events at the edge of those two days. On rare occasions it
open .ods file on mac?03 Oct 2006 16:01 GMT2
A vendor sends me these .ods files and I cannot locate a program to open
them. I can unzip the file but then I have a bunch of xml files and
other stuff that I cannot do anything with. There is one "thumbnail"
file of the pic that I need to see, but it's too small to read the ...
Renaming Disc in Toast 7? Possible?03 Oct 2006 15:23 GMT3
I want to copy a DVD disc that I've made in iDVD but I'd like to rename
the disc itself. (Change it from xxx2005 to xxx2006). This is the name
which comes up when the disc is inserted in the computer.
I don't want to change the content. I no longer have the original IDVD
iTunes 7 Cover Art03 Oct 2006 13:46 GMT14
I have over 3,800 named albums, each with the best cover art I
could find (no easy task!)
Now I see that iTunes 7 places my cover art in some sort of
repository folder with bizarre index numbers.
Making Screen Movies03 Oct 2006 06:05 GMT3
Any suggestions for a good screen-movie capture app? I know that there's
some expensive professional stuff for Windows. How does Snapz Pro do? I
tried Screen Movie Recorder, and it takes a lot of RAM, and seems to
crash if you get too big a file.

iTunes see much less music then WMP02 Oct 2006 17:31 GMT3
iTunes sees about 50% of the mp3's I've ripped.  I've used Windows
Media Player to play the music in the past and I used redchair software
to copy the tracks to my iPod.
I just recieved a new video iPod, so I'd like to switch to iTunes for

Problem printing an iCal month02 Oct 2006 16:00 GMT2
I have a problem printing months from iCal. Sometimes it goes fine, and
there is no problem. It is set for landscape. However, most of the time
it sets up with each month too wide (each day is about 1/16" too wide)
and the ends of the calendar get cut off on both sides. How can you ...
Beating iTunes into shape02 Oct 2006 13:51 GMT7
I've tried iTunes several times over a period of years. It always leaves
me wanting to do nasty things to whoever designed it. To me, the perfect
music player app was "SoundAppPPC". It didn't want to make play lists,
it didn't care where your music files were, and it understood ...
frustrated, silly-assed USB question02 Oct 2006 11:54 GMT28
Silly-assed because I should be able to figure this out by searching
apple.com, but no, they've made it damn' near impossible to actually
find an answer to a question as simple as:
What version of USB is in a 1.25ghz dual-processor "mirrored" G4?

Saving to "Volumes"?02 Oct 2006 03:22 GMT4
I attempted to create a disk image of my new Warcraft III play cd using
Disk Utility, and finally figured out how to do it. I think.
Anyway the only way I could get it to complete a disk image was to
choose Master Disk in the disk image menu.
