Moving iTunes library to a new Mac, not loosing metadata, how?15 Sep 2006 17:56 GMT3
Does anyone have any experience with or advice about moving one's music
and iTunes library from one Mac to a new one?
In my iTunes prefs, I have both 'keep iTunes Music folder organized' and
'copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library' turned _off_.
Parallels Desktop on Macbook question15 Sep 2006 17:55 GMT2
I'm running Parallels Desktop, and have two separate virtual machines
configured - one running Windows XP Pro SP2, and the other Mandriva
Linux. My problem now lies in the XP - for the virtual HD, it was set
to 8 gb and self expanding, yet I'm at capacity now, and it shows no

iTunes Rating Plug-In?15 Sep 2006 16:12 GMT2
Does anyone know of an app or plug-in to iTunes that handles song ratings?
I've been hoping that Apple would expand the current 5 star rating to
something larger or more flexible but it appears this isn't something high
up on their to-do list.  I checked Version Tracker and came ...

G3 web server15 Sep 2006 03:03 GMT3
I have a G3 with OS X and am planning to use it with my DSL connection
and a NO-IP static address to host my personal sites. About 7 or 8
different domains sites. The DSL is off a router in my bedroom. Do I
need NO-IP? Does my IP change?
.DS_Store15 Sep 2006 00:13 GMT22
Anyone know where this file comes from?  My Mac's disk
has these in lots and lots of directories.  Most are exactly
6148 bytes, but others have all sorts of random sizes, the
biggest around 100KB.  The total size is a few GB. Also,
Itunes Importing track names for CD's.14 Sep 2006 19:42 GMT10
Is there anyway you can import track names for CD's already in iTunes

They all say Track 1, 2, 3 etc.

Trouble using thesaurus in Word for Mac 200414 Sep 2006 16:57 GMT4
I'm having trouble using my thesaurus. It will work for some words in
my document but not others. All the words are English (US). When I
clicked on help, it said my proofing tools were not installed. I
checked in my applications folder for Office and they are in there.
Quickly block email?14 Sep 2006 10:02 GMT52
OS X 10.4.7 Mail doesn't seem to have a way of quickly blocking spam.
Say a keystroke that is close to the arrow keys.  There could be
keystrokes for blocking by sender, by domain and by title. Going through
the Rules area takes an interminably long time.  Can you imagine doing ...
Photoshop Elements oddity14 Sep 2006 01:51 GMT32

Blocking Ads14 Sep 2006 00:45 GMT4
Is there an app that will block these annoying banner ads with speech or
sound f/x that are becoming more and more prevalent?  Norton will block
them on my PC, but what about for the Mac where I don't run anti-virus
software suites?
