Something Weird Happened to my system18 Sep 2006 23:43 GMT3

I have a few questions relating to Java which have been bugging me
literally for years now. I hope someone can help.
I have always had problems using Java on my Mac. I was using a Powerbook
G4 and recently bought a MacBook Pro. The problem seems to have migrated
Spotlight has stopped working18 Sep 2006 22:37 GMT6

[9.0.4] Appleworks 6 menus graying out when printing18 Sep 2006 21:25 GMT8
On my god-daughter's ruby iMac, when we try to print something in
AppleWorks 6, the Apple and File menus go gray, so that we can't
select anything, not even to quit the program. The computer has
64MB of RAM, and I've allocated 5MB to AW's minimum size and
iTunes Limit18 Sep 2006 19:41 GMT2
I have over 25 thousand mp3's in my library.  I have had no significant
problems with this.  Now with v7, I am getting consistent
close/report/retry complaints when I exit the program.  Otherwise all
is well.
itunes - can you clear the "recently added" playlist?18 Sep 2006 19:39 GMT1
I'm in the process of loading tons of cds into my library so I can pick
and choose the songs for that I really want.  I find it much easier to

Yeah, yeah: Soon enough he'll be here asking his own damn

InDesign hangs upon launch, but only in non-admin accounts18 Sep 2006 05:18 GMT6
This morning I reinstalled Adobe's Creative Suite 2 on my MacBook Pro which
is running OS X 10.4.7. The reinstallation was brought about as both InDesign
and ImageReady were suddenly refusing to launch.
I began by uninstalling the Creative Suite according to Adobe's instructions.
Serial ATA to Firewire adapter17 Sep 2006 23:44 GMT2
I have an external firewire drive that I want to set up as an internal
drive on my G5 tower.  (I'm trying to install Linux, but the installer
