FireFox question26 Sep 2006 14:54 GMT3
I include the Bookmarks in my monthly back-ups.  Every time I open that
profiles file there are hundreds of bookmark lists, seemingly one for
each time FireFox was opened and closed.
I cannot find an option in the preferences related to this.
BBEdit/TextWrangler26 Sep 2006 14:27 GMT18
Anyone please know how to make a set of files wrap to window
width en masse when they don't do this. If there is a sentence
you want to change in a set of files, you can use simple Search
and Replace and multifile replace. You can do complicated things

Only Adobe..........25 Sep 2006 13:48 GMT10
Only Adobe would charge $160 for an upgrade from Acrobat Pro to the soon to
be released version 8 and at the same time charge $160 for an upgrade from
Creative Suite 2 to Creative Suite 2.3, the weirdness being that the Creative
Suite upgrade includes, in addition to the Acrobat ...

Hi, I'm setting up Endnote 9 for a colleague, and have run into some
simple things that I can't figure out how to do.  (I use LaTeX and
BibTeX for my own work).
1. We use the author/date style of citations.  Many journals want
Getting Retrospect to shut up?25 Sep 2006 05:59 GMT2
I've got the molst recent retrospect, running under OS 10.4.7.  After a month

never backed up to the network.  I haven't, and don't intend to.
I have no idea why this started, and can't find a way to turn ...

Hello Mac Peoples!
I've been using my first mac, an Intel MacBook for about 3 months now,

iDVD and stuttering on the TV25 Sep 2006 03:13 GMT3
I'm using iDVD to burn some QT movies to DVD. I used FotoMagico to put
some slides together with music, and I used QT to string together some
videos, then saved as two separate files. I import the two files to
iDVD, the burn to DVD. When played on the computer, it's okay, but when

I'm on Mac OS X (Intel) and whenever I click "open" for a pdf, it opens

can just take a quick glance at it, and not have to save a copy! How

need help with IPOD eating mp3 files24 Sep 2006 12:49 GMT3
I recently upgraded my ITunes software.  The next time I hooked up my
IPOD it erased the disc, losing about 7000 MP3 tunes from my pod.
These were all transfered from DVD's so I was backed up but had to take
countless hours to reinstall them.
