Inserting track names on CD from text file; possible?02 Sep 2006 14:58 GMT11
I have some CDs whose tracks, when I play the CDs with iTunes, are
named Track 1, Track 2, etc. I have text files consisting of the
numbered names of the tunes on each CD. Is there a way to transfer
these text files to the CDs, so that I can insert the song name tags
Obtaining AppendNote 1.002 Sep 2006 11:10 GMT3
The November 2005 Macworld (p 46) describes the program AppendNote 1.0.
It looks useful. They give the web address for the program
(www.enigmarelle.com). When I try to access that site, I get a message
that I do not have permission to do so. What do I have to do to access
App other than Address Book for VCards?02 Sep 2006 05:57 GMT11
Is there some little app -- preferably freeware -- that just holds
VCards and displays them? I have some of them that I'd like to be able
to read easily, but I don't want to load up my Address Book with a bunch
of rarely used stuff.
Palm and iCal02 Sep 2006 05:38 GMT10
My wonderful wife thinks I don't have enough toys (and also believes my CRS
has gotten to the breaking point). So, I'm jumping into the PDA thang.
Preliminary googling seems to say they play well together. What are the
impressions of you here?

backing up WinXP partition on MacBook?  (BootCamp)01 Sep 2006 16:14 GMT5
I'm using BootCamp to dual-boot my MacBook, and while I've found a
great solution for backing up the MacOSX side (SuperDuper! + external
FireWire/USB2 disk), I've found that SuperDuper! can't see the internal
7 GB WinXP partition (FAT32), even though it's readable/writable from
Where does Garage Band store instrument file?01 Sep 2006 14:30 GMT3
I upgraded iLife a few months ago, but only recently did I notice that I
have duplicate instrument software sounds (and I presume, files).  Can
anyone tell me where they are kept and how I can (safely remove them).
Thanks.

Being an organised sort of person I have religiously backed up my home
directory on my iMac (mac os x 10.4.7) so when the hard disk died after
6 months I wasn't unduly concerned since the home directory was backed
up onto a Lacie external HD.
