Be nice to have undo copy10 Sep 2006 00:16 GMT12
Be nice to have "undo copy" after copying to clipboard, it
strikes me there is either no such or I don't know about it. I
have fiddled about now and then with clipboard facilities and
generally forget to practice and go back to the good old one
Apple Mail; mail doesn't get to server to be "saved"09 Sep 2006 23:14 GMT1
I'm still one of those increasingly few AOL users (got kids). Have had
the account since '95. Anyway, when I got cable access at work, I
decided to use my Mac Mini in the office to not only access my work
email, but also the AOL account which I use at home for personal stuff.
Where is Address Book data?09 Sep 2006 17:22 GMT3
I just started up Address Book, and it was totally empty.  I looked in
Console.log, and noticed some log messages from earlier today:
Couldn't reopen AddressBook database. Home directory may not be ready or
is missing.
Anyone else having problems with My Yahoo accounts09 Sep 2006 03:32 GMT3
They upgraded their security over there and I have not been able to get
in MyYahoo with Safari. Curious if this is just a me issue or a system
issue.

A friend has installed a Mac iSight Video camera on a mac G5 that works well.
However it appears to have deleted his BT Internet Mailer, Yahoo Mail, and
his address book.
On questioning him I find that he is running the Mac G5 as admin  with no

The price of a MacPro09 Sep 2006 00:59 GMT46
Had a PC friend email me and scream about the $4000 price of a
MacPro, I had persuaded him to seriously consider getting a Mac
and he was most interested considering the Windows capability as
well. This is just for the box. He remarked that you get a lot of
can the Mac OS X operating system be loaded on other machines?09 Sep 2006 00:33 GMT13
We have a couple of high end e-machines and I am so ready to throw
them out the window because of the hundreds of hours we have spent
downloading fixes and updates.
Can the program be installed on a regulare computer?
Best MacOsX email client?09 Sep 2006 00:25 GMT105
Any recommendations for a MacBook newbie?
Apple's Mail.app doesn't do it for me: when I set rules up to move
mail to folders based on filtering criteria, I expect the messages to
move to the folders (not be copied), and I expect the folders to be
OS X wish list...08 Sep 2006 22:20 GMT2
A little thing that would be nice is the slider for icon size
appearing on the top of the directory windows when in icon view.
It is already quite a fabulous little Apple feature, really
useful, terrific that it can apply to "just this window". And
Print Address Book: font size08 Sep 2006 21:07 GMT2
It may be nice for some to have the choice between large font and
regular font, but the regular font is quite large already.
IMHO, the printing procedure and settings of Apple's Address Book leave
much to desire. Instead of printing my 180 contacts to 13 pages with 12

Running .jar files on Mac OS 908 Sep 2006 03:44 GMT11
How do I run a jar file on Mac OS 9 (well, 8.6 to be exact, but pre-X
anyway)?? I have MRJ 2.2.5 installed and it runs Applets well, but I
cannot find how to start a jar file. AppletRunner will only open HTML
files that have a reference to an Applet. I have not yet tried to embed ...
