| VoodooPad Query | 23 Aug 2006 18:51 GMT | 3 |
I keep trying VoodooPad as it is such a fine looking application; my problem is that I just can't find a use for it. Maybe I am just failing to /get/ the whole personal wiki thing because I feel I should be able to use it somehow.

| Safari / Hogwasher / Mail -- Unwanted Interaction? | 23 Aug 2006 11:51 GMT | 8 |
I frequently have Safari, Hogwasher, and Mail all open at the same time and will be switching amongst them. What frequently (often several times a day) happens is that I'll want to use Safari and find that it is hung and needs to be force quit. And, try as I might, I can't ...

| Preview's "Flip" doesn't always work | 23 Aug 2006 05:21 GMT | 2 |
Actually, what happens is even more bizarre. I have a couple of pictures that I'd like mirrored. So I tried loading them into Preview, doing "Flip Vertical", and the picture was the mirror of before. So I saved them using "Save As", adding a char 'L' or 'R' to the file names to ...

| Need Help for Transfer Mac--->Mac | 22 Aug 2006 16:51 GMT | 23 |
Couple years ago, I gave my trusty old 7200/75 mac to a friend who finally gave up on Windows, in frustration. I told me that it on old machine and that he could get a decent newer machine for not very much. But he wanted to try it and it turned out that he was happy messing

| MacScan automation | 22 Aug 2006 09:02 GMT | 5 |
Okay, the current Consumer Reports magazine article on computer security spooked me sufficiently to download, try and then buy MacScan <www.macscan.securemac.com> I am especially anal about it since I was recently the victim of online ID theft.

| Locking items into "Open Recent" menus? | 22 Aug 2006 01:51 GMT | 12 |
An increasing number of Mac apps seem to have both Open. . . and Open Recent . . . menus. Is the latter a built-in system capability in OS X, or just a custom extension of the standard Open menu command? Mathematica in particular has a Preference option that allows one to

| Tiger date management | 22 Aug 2006 00:01 GMT | 2 |
There seems to be a fault with the file date management system in Mac OS X, at least in Tiger 10.4.7. I am quite frequently confronted by notices that tell me that the folder I am wanting to replace is younger than the one I know I have just modified.

| Mulberry returns! Freeware now too! | 21 Aug 2006 21:00 GMT | 4 |
I think it will make old timer Mac users happy. I understand Mullberry author re-gained rights to distrubute/update his own program. Get it from Versiontracker so downloads will be counted. Also I hope they setup a donation page.

| Mac OS X and Windows printers? | 21 Aug 2006 15:25 GMT | 42 |
After literally decades of hesitation about leaving the Windows world, I finally took the plunge and bought a MacBook yesterday. Everything is great so far, except for one thing: It appears that I won't be able to print to a fairly expensive Konica-Minolta 2300 color laser printer

| [9.2.2] TurboMem and Turbo Internet - worthwhile? | 21 Aug 2006 03:45 GMT | 3 |
I'm trying these two apps from Mac Unicorn Software again, after a long time not using them, and I'm not sure if they really do anything to improve performance or not. I'm hoping someone out there knows, and wouldn't mind enlightening me.
