If I forward something from Mail, it arrives on a PC looking very messy.
Is this a known problem (I'm on 10.3.9)

     If I have a project going, and I trash a small clip (20mb in the
trash) and try to empty it, it takes 3 minutes.  Process viewer shows
about 18mb/sec of activity.  Why does this take so long?  Another
project I opened, and I noticed that trash had 156Mb of 'garbage'.

Be nice if iCab could make like Safari and Firefox for key combos
to enlarge or decrease text size on web pages. It has always
irked me. Thought I would share this irritation with you. Using

A friend has sent me a file in .wps format.  Can I open it using OSX 10.7.4?  
If not will any Mac friendly program open it, short of buying MS Works.

Anyone know if you can import and edit Publisher files in Pages 2 ?!?!

Anyone know if microsoft is planning a version of messenger for mac
that lets you audio/video chat? The only way I can chat with a PC with
messenger is to get the PC user to install new clients eg an AIM
account. It would be much easier if there was a mac version of

I posted earlier inquiring about office.  I use a PC now but am
getting a mac soon. I have a large database of appointments, contacts,
and emails in Outlook from the PC.  I know Office 2004 for Mac has
Entourage which seems to be a similar item but is not compatible with

In Safari 1.2.4 (comes with OS X 10.3.8), it doesn't recognize
"disabled" attribute when input type="password" and recognizes
"disabled" attribute correctly when input type="text". Is there any
workaround for this issue ? Upgrading to newer Safari is not the answer

Not often do I do this, used to in pre X but for some reason, not
sure how it is done in Tiger: to get a directory widow, at least
in list view, to a text file (for emailing or printing), I have
been resorting to screenshot for now... Anyone please?

I've just switched from the Windows world to the Mac world by buying a
MacBook, and I spent a solid week-and-a-half installing about 20 GB of
added software and data, including Bootcamp w/ Windows XP.  Now that
I've got things more or less the way I want them, I'd like to know how

I was looking for a Mac version of artrise.com Golden Section software.
Basically, I wanted something that will overlay whatever program I'm
using, ie Photoshop, Fireworks, Dreamweaver for both print and web
design.  I googled golden ratio mac and the best I found was a plugin
