I'm new to Mac OS X. I accidentaly trashed the System Preferences, when i moved it to the desktop. Thinking it was a shortcut, I deleted it. So, am I screwed?

I have a registered version of 1.7.2 . When I saw this 1.8 as a free upgrde, I assumed it will recognize that it is an upgrade to a registered version and the transition will be smooth. Well, so far no transition.

I have a number of lengthy PDF documents seminar presentations actually in which the individual pages contain primarily text and vector graphics originally generated in Illustrator or from other PostScript sources.

I recently moved to a newer Mac and now I get a msg: ! Sorry, there is not enough room on this disk 1k more bytes are needed. This is with MacDrawPro (used it for many years).
