I'd like to see more thorough implementation of Undo.
If I accidentally hit J, I have the choice of losing any/all just-read
stuff if I want to recover the messages I just marked read, or never
seeing those messages.  Just an example.

I've been using OS X for a couple of months now and I really like it. I
had used the Classic OS for over twenty years so I'd become quite used
to it.
There are many superb things about OS X but there is one small thing

I'm using the latest iTunes to download radio podcasts to put into my
iPod Shuffle.  The radio shows are different hosts, but 3 distinct
hours each, therefore 3 separate podcast files per host.  When I put

Is it possible to make an audio file (mp3 e.g.) from an audio track extacted
from a movie? In other words, after extraction, how do I create a separate
file from the audio track display to play in iTunes?

I am trying to get a cassette tape of an interview onto garage band
for a Demo I am working on. Tried to feed from earphone of my handheld
recorder to the mic input on my MacbookPro to no avail. Similar luck
running from headphone on my stereo amplifier, from the headphone jack

OS X 10.4.7.  iBook G4.
Encountered some kind of disk error via Disk Utility on my iBook G4.  I
booted from an outboard drive running probably 10.4.4 or so.  Ran disk
utilities on the iBook fixed the disk error.  Cleaned up permissions,

My Mac gets really hot: between 71 and 83 degrees Celcius.

If you are switching from Thoth to Unison or something else, I'll be
happy to buy your license for Thoth whose older looking interface suits
my reading habits. (The developer has refused to sell it for a few

I put a pagemaker file on a jump drive and brought it to my PowerBook
G4. When I open up the folder it's in it just shows up as an exec file.
I have tried to open it with Pagemaker through the classic mode, but it
ain't happening. What do i need to do to read this file?

For some reason internet connect, which I rarely use, has started
opening automatically when I start the computer. It's only a minor
irritation but IC has no preference panel and I don't know why it
started or how to stop it happening.

I'm getting sketchy reports on this. As I understand it, *all* copies
of Leopard will include Front Row and Photo Booth, so even Macs that
didn't come with those apps can now get them. Am I right?
