Firefox Question08 Jun 2006 23:08 GMT9
I would like to know if there is a way to save a set of tabbed windows.
I load my brokerage trading window in one tab.  Then in a series of
tabs I load real time stock charts.  I would like to know if there is a
way of saving the whole set.  I access these windows everyday.  It is
list of applications in dock like Windows start menu08 Jun 2006 20:16 GMT5
I have my application folder icon in my dock and I often choose
applications by right-clicking that folder to display a list of
applications. It takes forever though to list the first apps and then a
long time to scroll. I'm looking for a tool which will quickly list my

MP3s on removable media with iTunes08 Jun 2006 15:20 GMT9
This sort of issue has probably come up before, but I tried searching
Usenet and the web to no avail.
I have a number of CD's and DVD's full of MP3 files. Say I insert one
of the DVDs in the drive, add all the MP3s it contains to iTunes'
Netscape vs Mozilla vs Safari?08 Jun 2006 13:40 GMT14
I'd appreciate advice choosing between the three browsers listed.
My basic situation is that I do more or less vanilla browsing on a Mac
IBook G4, DSL connection, using Netscape 7.2 because Netscape is what I
"grew up with" essentially since it first appeared; and I've been
OS X automatic system maintenance?08 Jun 2006 04:30 GMT7
I read occasional newsgroup messages about various automatic system
maintenance and cleanup tasks that the system or the Unix internals on
my iBook laptop will supposedly do, during the night, or once a week, or
whatever.
Tiger maintenence08 Jun 2006 00:24 GMT52
I have heard that X (eg Tiger) needs no special maintenance
beyond ensuring a good chunk of free space on the HD. But, of
course, I worry! I do nothing at all and just carry on
(occasionally, like dancing around a Totem Pole, I run disk
Does RealPlayer 10 for the Mac have the Live Pause feature?07 Jun 2006 22:33 GMT5
My PC version of RealPlayer has the very cool LivePause feature, but I
can't find the equivalent feature on my Mac OSX version of
RealPlayer...is there an equivalent, perhaps called something else?
Thanks so much--
IRISPen Express 4.807 Jun 2006 18:32 GMT3
IRISPen has worked well for me until I bought a new Mac with the Intel
chip. Now it constantly tells me that the pen is unplugged and the
driver is unloaded even though I have installed the software and plugged
the pen into a powered USB hub.
SuperDuper! vs. Retrospect Express07 Jun 2006 16:53 GMT18
I regularly back up my iMac G5 to an external la Cie using SuperDuper!
to make a bootable clone. Very irregularly, I back up my wife's
PowerBook using a sparse image via the network. She has come to
understand that regular back ups on her part would be useful and I'd

Remote use of Mac-Mini (Intel) and eMac (PPC) from Windows07 Jun 2006 09:28 GMT7
I'd like to run applications on my Mac-Mini Intel Dual Core and my eMac G4 and see everything
on my Windows XP laptop. In other words, I'd like to use the Win laptop as a simple client.
OS X has X-windows, so a solution could be to buy an X-windows client for Windows.
However, only ...
