So, I boot the G4 back into OS9 to back up some fotos to CD with my old copy of Toast Lite. OS9 says my disk is "damaged", to use a repair utility. Everything seems well-behaved, though. Toast seems to run OK. Disc copies OK.

How come when I view my slideshow on IPhoto, the quality is excellent (image resolution), but when I send it to IDVD to burn or Export it to Quicktime, the quality is poor?? Can someone please explaine this? I've already set the preferences on IDVD to best quality. Any suggestions. ...

I just ran across something called Joliet File System for OS 9.x. It's supposed to allow Mac OS to display long file names (longer than 31 chars), especially from CDs that were created using Windows, MP3s, etc. I have yet to install and try this system extension.

When browsing through news messages I like keeping the most interesting ones as "unread" and displaying only unread messages. That is what I do using Outlook Express (on PC). But I can't find how to mark a message as "unread" in Thunderbird.
