Occasionally I try to import a CD that I purchased at the store and the track names don't show up. Today it was Pearl Jam cd. The iTunes music store sells the same cd so it must be in their database.

Is it possible to break up my iTunes so that most of them are stored on an external hard drive, while only a few are copied to the main drive?

| LDAP Entourage from Outlook | 21 Apr 2006 05:08 GMT | 1 |
I'm connected to an exchange server using Entourage. I used to use Outlook 2003 on a PC, but switched over. What I'm trying to figure out is what my LDAP server is and no one at IT support can tell me, ugh. There is no way of accessing the GAL if I

| growl, mail.app, and applescript | 20 Apr 2006 17:00 GMT | 11 |
I have _no_ idea where it went, but I used to have an applescript that ran under growl. If I got an email from my wife, the rule was to run growl and that applescript and pop up a window alerting me that an email from her had arrived. It did _not_ do a notice on every email.

I've lost the sound on mpeg files that I've seen numerous times in QuickTime and RealPlayer. I've checked all of the audio settings I can find in System Prefs. I've reloaded QuickTime, but it hasn't helped. The only thing I've recently done involving audio was use my Griffin

| iSight as a security camera? | 20 Apr 2006 10:25 GMT | 2 |
I used to use my old POS Logitech camera as a security camera, using the software provided in either motion detection mode, stop motion film mode, or (if I had googles of disk space) straight up video record mode.

| TurboTax is garbage | 20 Apr 2006 08:20 GMT | 16 |
I have just finished my 2005 taxes, using TurboTax as I have done for the past 10 years or so. Not any more. This software is now so full of bugs, errors and just downright stupidity, that it would be easier to have done this the pen and paper way. What is inexcusable is that all ...

| GraphicConverter for OS 9.x doesn't read pdf | 20 Apr 2006 05:23 GMT | 2 |
Someone suggested I use GraphicConverter as an alternative to Adobe Acrobat Reader for viewing and printing pdf files. I've since discovered that only the OS X version does that, so I'm still interested in finding an alternate app for this, if such exists. I'm beginning to think ...

| Itunes Question about Purchased Music | 20 Apr 2006 03:15 GMT | 1 |
Hi. I purchased a free Ipod song and one tv show. I deleted the song and I aborted the tv show when the download seemed too big for my dialup connection. However, whenever I start up Itunes, it checks for purchased music and finds those same two items--the song and the tv

| App to deal with FLAC files? | 20 Apr 2006 02:32 GMT | 4 |
I've come into some audio on FLAC files (a vintage Chicago soundboard concert from 1969, about the time they were getting ready to release Chicago II, if anyone cares) and am interested in getting those FLACs burned to audio CD. Will Toast burn FLACs to audio CD, or do I need to get ...
