Is there a way to restore one program from the install DVD?01 Apr 2006 20:35 GMT5
I am running Tiger and iMovie.app is "damaged or incomplete."  This
problem exists on all my backups.  I need to reinstall it from the Tiger
install DVD, but I don't know how to do that or if it is even possible.
If it is possible, how do I do it?  If not, where can I get a good ...

Backing up my "life" under OS 9, to a DVD on my OS X Mac. "Get Info"
told me that the size of the OS 9 stuff was 4.5 Gig, so I created a
"burn folder" and dragged the OS 9 stuff into it. Loaded up the DVD
burner, and clicked "Burn". The dialog box said I would need a "5.7

Recently (and I don't recall what I did just prior to this starting), on
my G4/450 running OS 9.2.2, whenever I highlight text in MS Word 98 and
try to copy it, the application unexpectedly quits with a Type 2 error.

I often refer to archives created with Word 5 and Excel 4.  When I
went to OS 9, Word 5 wouldn't work, but Claris Works 5 would open
my Word documents.  (Appleworks 6 wouldn't.)
Now I'm moving to Tiger.  In the Classic environment, Excel 4 quits
