Staroffice vs. MS Office07 Apr 2006 23:33 GMT17
Hi I need to compose some lengthy technical documents with figures

very sluggish on my 867MHz G4 iMac / 768 MB RAM.  I understand the
10.4.6:  NO CDs & DVDs Preferences?07 Apr 2006 23:11 GMT6
In following a discussion about burning a DVD, one respondent said to
check the System Preferences.
I just recently downloaded the 10.4.6 Update and there's nothing in the
Hardware section of System Preferences on CDs & DVDs that used to be in

I'm trying to burn a few avi movies to DVD using iMovie/iDVD on OSX.
However, each one-hour movie is about 350 mb.  When I import them into
iMovie, can only fit 2 movies per DVD.
Is there anything I can use to reduce the size of the avis, or something

How do you do this on XP Windows?07 Apr 2006 03:34 GMT21
I know this is an awful cheek! But no use asking a PC person
because they would not believe my ignorance about their OS and
would just assume things.
I need to use a PC for just one main purpose, to see how those

WRT54GS-BP connected to a Mac?
The reason I ask is my daughter wants me to setup a network for her
Do iTunes videos have DRM?06 Apr 2006 21:40 GMT1
I have tried searching for information about this, to no avail:
Are videos (for example, episodes of TV series) purchased through the
iTunes store, subject to DRM like purchased music is? Do computers have
to be authorized to play iTunes-store-bought videos?
WamCom06 Apr 2006 21:27 GMT3
Every time I fire up Wamcom 1.3.1 it forces me to create a new user
profile. No way to use an extant profile although I by now have quite a

using different folders, overwriting old ones (wouldn't do) etc., to ...
