Backing up in Quicken31 Mar 2006 23:51 GMT2
I use Q2005 for OSX.  I did use Q2001 until last year.  It seems that backing
up and then uploading to my FTP server has gotten more difficult in the 2005
version.  For example I cannot upload the file dikrectly like I could with
the old Mac OS (missing data and resource forks).  So ...
Combining DVDs with menus31 Mar 2006 23:42 GMT2
I created two, multiple session DVDs which I want to combine into one,
with menus.
The closest thing I could find was DVD2oneX, but there seems to be a
catch 22.  Either I can take one full DVD with menus or I can combine
Burning First Toast DVD, Any Catches?31 Mar 2006 20:11 GMT11
Having finished my first short movie in iMovie as best I could, I'm
trying to burn it to DVD using Toast.  The only way I see to get the
whole movie in as a continuous entity is to take the entire Quicktime
movie from the Media Browser to the video Content Area.  Otherwise it's
World map viewer?31 Mar 2006 20:07 GMT3
I'm looking for software that is the equivalent of a printed world
atlas. Type in the name of a country or continent or city and get a map
of the area. I don't need satellite images (like Google earth) - just
an old-fashioned map with bounderies, rivers, and so on.

Moving from PC to Mac. How do I import my iTunes library?31 Mar 2006 07:16 GMT6
I've just ordered a new Mac (intel Mini) to replace my Windows XP box.
I can easily network them together, but i was unsure of what
files/folders I needed to copy to have iTunes on my mac fully updated
the same as the old PC.
transferring from iPhoto 6 to CD31 Mar 2006 06:02 GMT1
When transferring blocks of photos to a CD we get message: "The
selected items cannot all be put into the same location because at
least one of them is busy."
What does that mean?  How can we overcome it?
SuperDuper! for Windows?31 Mar 2006 03:03 GMT5
A friend who's a computer newbie just bought a Sony Vaio laptop, which
has both Firewire and USB 2.0, and I'm recommending that she get an
external OWC drive for backup cloning/incremental-cloning. I use
SuperDuper! on my Mac, which I find works perfectly and easily.
Safari search term file location?31 Mar 2006 01:50 GMT1
Hi all, I noticed Safari will display a list (like a scrollable
pop-up--pretty convenient) of previously searched terms for sites that
utilize search fields.  But what if I want to clear it?  How do I go
about doing that?  Is there a single cache file I can delete?
Imovie titling31 Mar 2006 01:03 GMT1
I'm trying to add credits at the end of my (Imovie HD 5.0.2) movie
using one of the 4 "scrolling" titles, but I can't figure out why my
text isn't shown on separate lines as I've entered them.
The problem seems to show up in all 4 scrolling title options, but
Any Web Based VNC for Mac?31 Mar 2006 00:03 GMT5
Anyone know about a web based VNC to control a Mac over the port 80.
Similar products for Windows would be "Live Support" by Blue Squirrel,
or the Webx software. I've googled this but have not found a solution so
far. Timbuktu and Chicken of the VNC are great, but I need something ...
Toast 99 Limit30 Mar 2006 23:44 GMT12
Toast has a limit of 99 songs per DVD. Does anyone know how to go
beyond this limit? DVD's will hold far more than 99 MP3's.
Thanks,
John

iTunes lyrics?30 Mar 2006 23:19 GMT7
I know iTunes lets you enter lyrics as part of a song's file. That's
all well and good, but what about the iPod? How can I get the lyrics
displayed on its screen?
