| MT-NewsWatcher | 04 Feb 2006 02:39 GMT | 12 |
I've been using MT-NewsWatcher for years. All of a sudden, for the past few days, it's been asking me for authentication, when I tell it to check for new articles. If I go away for a few minutes and hit Command-Y again, I'm not asked for authentication. Anyone know what's ...

| DIVX video won't play in QuickTime (OS X)? | 03 Feb 2006 19:37 GMT | 1 |
Have video that says it's DIVX. When played in QT Player with DIVX 5.2.2 codec installed, no audio. I saw on videohelp.com that a bug in DIVX means MP3 audio won't play. (Presume, therefore, this video might have MP3. How to know?).

| Can VLC read DVD files? | 03 Feb 2006 17:23 GMT | 18 |

| Entourage as a newsreader? | 03 Feb 2006 17:18 GMT | 15 |
How is it? Can it filter articles crossposted? Any problems with it? Outlook Express has many features in Windows that make it an excellent newsreader and other that make it suck. Just depends on what you need. Except for crossposting filtering, OE rocks. So I was wondering ...

| Copying a Finder List as Text? | 03 Feb 2006 13:02 GMT | 11 |
In OS 9 you could select a list of files/folders in the finder and copy the listing to a text document with drag and drop. I can't figure out how to do the equivalent in OS X. Drag and drop to Text Edit inserts the contents of the files or an

| iTunes music directory was moved | 03 Feb 2006 04:32 GMT | 3 |
to another disk, and now a lot of things are screwed up. I think he lost all his play lists, or something similar. It's on my son's machine, so I don't know the details. I understand this is a known "bug" (aka HUGE blithering screw-up); can

| Does iPhoto6 fix 5's slowness? | 02 Feb 2006 06:39 GMT | 9 |
In iPhoto 5, pictures taken with cameras such as Casio Exlin-Z40 and Nikon D70 put extra stuff in the Photo.library file so that starting and quitting iPhoto 5 with my 3,000+ photo library takes about 3 minutes each. Does iPhoto 6 fix this?

| How to Make AudioBook mp3s Bookmarkable for iPod? | 01 Feb 2006 21:56 GMT | 10 |
I'm trying to figure out how to make large audiobook mp3 files bookmarkable for use on an iPod mini. I've googled around and seen a lot of detailed descriptions about how to do this if you are a PC user, but I'm at a loss as to what to do as a Mac user.
