iTunes 6.01: iPod software too old?06 Jan 2006 00:05 GMT2
I've just come across a strange problem. I'm not sure if it's related
to the new year or what, but it's strange. Today, after not updating my
60GB iPod photo for a few days, I got a message in iTunes that said
"Some of the songs in the iTunes music library were not copied to the
Websites that crash non PC based browsers05 Jan 2006 23:52 GMT3
I have run into some websites that seem to crash FireFox, Safari or
anything running on a non Mickeysoft os. I do not understand why people
write websites that make the INTERNET preparatory.  The Internet was
never designed to be preparatory since this was the way things used to

Installing, then using, X1105 Jan 2006 05:50 GMT1
I downloaded a program which requires X11 to run. I ended up installing a
whole bunch o' crap from the tiger install DVD, and I now have X11.app in
my Applications:Utilities folder, so I'm hoping that's it. However the app
which requires X11 won't start, saying it requires X11 and I ...

Photoshop 7 and Photoshop Elements on same drive05 Jan 2006 00:38 GMT2
Photoshop Elements came with my scanner. I like its simple interface and
might start using it for photo management. Is Photoshop Elements
installation totally separate from regular Photoshop (v7)? IOW, if I
install PE, will it overwrite any Photoshop components already on my
iTunes claiming songs will not fit on disc05 Jan 2006 00:36 GMT2
My friend is having a problem where iTunes does not seem to let him
burn CDs, and the reason it gives is that "the songs in this playlist
will not fit on one Audio CD."  But that happens even when we only put
one standard high quality mp3 4.4 MB song in the playlist to be burnt.

My Mail is quitting unexpectedly when I tell it go get mail. My assumption

oops, no that's Donnie Darko. Uh, my prefs are corrupted.
Where are my prefs and if I trash them, is all my existing mail trashed as

?No Text Clipping in Tiger Apple apps?04 Jan 2006 16:53 GMT2
I've been rooting around in tiger for the last month and have stumbled
on something which seems odd and a pain in the butt:  I cannot highlight
text in TextEdit, Safari, or Mail and drag it to the desktop as a text
clipping. As soon as I click on the selected text to drag it, the ...

I'm somewhat familiar with FM but have not been able to figure out how
to do what would be the equivalent of a DO loop in a programming
language such as BASIC, using FM Pro 7.  I've got a situation which
requires or is logically equal to a triple nested DO loop. Can the
Safari and PDF files04 Jan 2006 12:40 GMT9
How can I tell Safari 2.0.2 how to open PDFs?  It always asks and I have
to select a program like Acrobat Reader.  It ought to be possible to
have a default program, but I can't find anything in preferences.
