Can anyone help me..?? I am not a MAc user as such, I am a PC engineer
by trade (boo, hiss - i know..!!)...
My Step dad however has a Mac G3 powerbook, bronze keyboard - and it
has suffered a problem. it will not boot - even with shift held down

Need advice, can't launch Safari or iChat.
This started after I was trying to do a secure erase on an external

being a newbie to macs I wonder what best to use as a newsreader. I
downloaded "Halime" which I use just now but maybe there is a more
practical program (maybe I find it not quite satisfactory as I don't
know my way around too well yet). However, I'd prefer to e.g. "see" all  

I know this is not possible, but there has to be a way my ibook can boot
into OS 9 or 7.  I have some favorite apps that want a native
environment.  One game that has never been upgraded for OSX, and the
developer "may" not seem interested in updating it requires a native OS

Hello everyone. I am urgently looking for the following programs and I

Can anyone suggest an application for visualizing houses?  Like
something architects might use.  I don't need to make blueprints, but
laying out floorplans would be nice too, in addition to 3-D modelling.

I can't make any modifications to a PDF doc using AAPro. Everything
works just until I want the text to change. In other words, the
original text gets lined out, the little tablet appears, and I am able
to type new text on the little tablet, but I can't get the new text to
