Addresses have been deleted from the address book, but there remains disconnected listings in the autocomplete feature of Mail, which of course led to errors when sending. Anyone know how to delete the autocomplete list?

I'm using Windows XP, and in Firefox, or IE, it causes the browsers to shutdown. How should I go about fixing this. Even going to apple.com/quicktime shuts the browser down. TIA!
