I had Chicken of the VNC working to connect to my Windows machine to
see and control my Windows desktop on my mac os10.3.  
I recently  installed Little Snitch and then CotVNC stopped working.  
I turned off Little Snitch and CotVNC still didn't work.

Ok. Now don't you think mac should have an internet service? It should
have the same services as .mac and connection features like dial-up,
dsl.

I have a 160 gig external firewire drive in six partitions, three of
which are empty. I'd like to merge two of these empty partitions. Can I
do that without erasing the whole drive? Is there a utility likely
already on my iBook (running 10.4) that will do it, or some cheapware

I have downloaded mac the ripper, but if I want to install it I get the
message that there is no program that can install it.  Do I need to
download something else first?

My Apple Mail application has three trash folders.  One marked Clara, my Isp.
One marked Nildram my broadband supplier and one quaintly marked "On my
Mac".  
My Clara trash folder is showing a message in it, that I can't read, delete

My latest iMovie project is 2 hours and 7 minutes long. When I try to
use iDVD, it says the project is too big.
What other avenues do I have to get this on one disk as a
fully-functional DVD with chapter stops?

Lately I've been noticing more and more of an annoying distortion in
a lot of things played by iTunes.  Today I stumbled across a bit of evidence
that might suggest an answer if anyone knows enough to explain it.
What I did was download a few WAV files from a web site, and they got

when I'm playing a song in itunes, there's a loud screech before each
song begins. this doesn't happen when I play off of a cd - it's only
with the songs in my library. I recently installed itunes 6 and never
had the problem with itunes before that. any ideas? thanks, laura

Long ago (years), I set up automatic indexing of the one and only disk a couple
of nights a week.  It ran fine until a month or so ago, when it started failing
after the first 10 minutes or so.  Forcing it to restart where it had left off
didn't help, so I went into the Preferences ...

I am trying to reinstall OS X on my friend's 600 MHz iBook because she
wants to change the administrator name and password.  Problem is, we do

I have my iTunes/iPod set up to update only playlists that I have
checked.
For some reason, not all of the playlists that I have checked are
showing up on my iPod after updating?????
