10.4.3 is beach ball city09 Nov 2005 18:17 GMT13
Since I've upgraded to 10.4.3, I've had nothing but problems.
They're just too numerous and random to list here.
Basically, the Finder crashes constantly, other applications hang out of
the blue, and most of the time it's not even possible to force quit.

Mighty Mouse with MS Remote Desktop Connection09 Nov 2005 17:17 GMT1
As hard as I try to limit my use of MS Windows, it seems as if I have a
need to use Windows all the time. Even though the Windows server is in
my office with my PowerMac G5, I prefer to use my Windows system via
Remote Desktop Connection so I can have it display on my 23" Cinema
G5 and webcam09 Nov 2005 12:11 GMT1
Never was into chatting before.  But now I have a girlfriend in Peru.
All the cyber cafes in Peru have 900 KB DSL connections with cheap
webcams on top of their beat up windows boxes.  I don't have a webcam.
We have been using Yahoo messenger, and I have been getting her images

Won't work with Fetch09 Nov 2005 05:10 GMT7
I'm not even close to a web author, but I wanted to stick some photos on
the page my ISP gives me, so a friend could look at them.
Naturally, being an old Mac hand, I used Fetch to put the .JPG files
into a directory on the web site. (OS 9, BTW). My browser absolutely
No one uses Voice Modems anymore heh?08 Nov 2005 23:45 GMT3
I used to have Hotfax Message Center, MegaPhone, and Supra Voice mail on
my performa 6360.  I was able to use my computer to receive voice mails,
and dial numbers and speak with the computer at one time.
Back in those days I remember many computers shipping with voice modems
Appleworks for OS 908 Nov 2005 23:44 GMT9
Could it read/write Word docs? Appleworks for OSX can; I can't remember if the
classic version could too. Couldn't find anything on Apple's web site.

Anyone else having trouble doing business with Roxio?08 Nov 2005 20:47 GMT11
Recently, I upgraded Toast to Toast 7, which works quite nicely.
Unfortunately, I'm finding their business practices quite a dicey, and am
not terribly happy with them.
When I upgraded (it's scarcely an upgrade - full price with a rebate
Icon Corruption in Applications Caused by Finder?08 Nov 2005 19:56 GMT1
More and more I have been noticing certain icons disappearing or
becoming corrupted in some applications.  I have also seen the Finder
show incorrect icons. Restarting the Finder seems to fix both problems.
However since it has started happening almost daily now, I am concerned
Stubborn Logitech...08 Nov 2005 12:52 GMT7
I know I'm being really dim, but.... I used to use a Logitech mouse on
a G4 PowerBook(10.4.3) but no longer, so I have trashed everything
Logitech, all the folders, p.lists etc. from every location,
startup/login included. Spotlight confirms 'everything logitech' now
