"Recovered files" in trash from mail.app every startup31 Oct 2005 22:09 GMT2
I upgraded to Tiger a few weeks ago, and I'm not sure when this
started. The last week? I choose shutdown at night and shut down
properly. In the morning, I start up, and the trash can, which was empty,
shows contents. I looked at the contents and it's mostly images I dragged

Browsers (Firefox, Safari) are resource hogs31 Oct 2005 20:57 GMT16
Running 10.4.2, but I've noticed since at least 10.3 that my
web browsers tend to periodically have "issues." Specifically,
after some amount of usage, they tend to lock up while loading.
Lately I've been running top and checking the resource consumption
Warning: Don't donate for safari search bar 'inquisitor'31 Oct 2005 18:58 GMT10

However, do *not* donate money because it's a fraud page.  After you
have donated you still cannot download the software.  This guy just
Virtual PC my only option?31 Oct 2005 03:51 GMT5
Is MS Virtual PC my only option for virtual machines under Mac OS X?
Ideally I like some type of virtual PPC software. I have some versions
of Linux PPC I'd like to try, and I don't want to have to worry about
boot loaders, or repartitioning.

I'm looking for a simple text editor that will allow me to work in full
screen mode. I want a blank screen, no menu bar, with nothing but text so
I can concentrate on what I'm writing. The only features I need are that
I can choose the background colour and font (size and colour) ...
"Mail" Getting Messages Coming Out of Sleep29 Oct 2005 19:26 GMT1
I prefer to have OSX's "Mail" program automatically check for messages
every 5 minutes or so, but there's a little kink when I take the
computer out of sleep:  It often takes several seconds for DHCP to
establish an IP address for the computer.  However, Mail notices that
Video to iPod29 Oct 2005 18:48 GMT1
How do I transfer video to on of the new iPods?
I recently bought one of the 60 GB iPod with video units. It is really
slick. The packaging is impressive and the screen is excellent for its small
size.
USB Overdrive X with Kensington Expert Mouse Pro trackball29 Oct 2005 18:44 GMT14
I've got a Kensington Expert Mouse Pro trackball. Since I changed to
MacOS X the Kensington software hasn't supported triple-click which in
many applications like MacSOUP will select a full line.
I've downloaded USB Overdrive X from
Address Book contacts not syncing to Palm via iSync29 Oct 2005 18:05 GMT14
I've been wrestling with this problem for a while now, but haven't been
able to come up with a solution.  I had been successfully using iSync
(on Panther) with the iSync Palm Conduit to sync Address Book and iCal
data to my Palm Tungsten T3.  No problems, everything was ...

Is it possible to burn the Acrobat Reader program to a CD? I want to

only  dial-up AOL? I burned the downloaded .dmg folder to a CD, but
when she tried to open it, she got an error. She doesn't remember what
