Every once in a while my wife will be reading her e-mail and my two year

  I've been annoying people on this group with OS X questions for a
week or so now, so I guess I'll try a slight riff on the vein.  I just
got a new iBook and am in the process of coming out of the 9.2 stoneage.  

Can anyone recommend a good audio mastering app for OS X? I'm skittish
about BIAS Peak Pro because of all the negative reviews I've read about
it.

I'm using ffmpegX to convert some WMA files to MP3.  I'd really like to
know the command line equivalent of whatever ffmpegX is doing so that I
can write a little shell script to batch process rather than drag and
drop every file individually.  Is there any way for me to figure this
