Where can I find Quicktime 6?04 Jul 2005 21:17 GMT1
I responded to a Software Update prompt and upgraded to QT 7 without
thinking about the "pro" aspect of the software. I paid for QT 6 Pro
and don't want to have to pay again for QT 7. I just want to get rid of
it and go back to QT 6. But QT 7 apparently overwrote 6 or deleted it,

I need to produce a DVD that will contain several speeches from a

menu to select each person and possibly some outtakes, a sound loop and
some transitions so the menu builds in the beginning.

Signature Blocks in MT-Newswatcher04 Jul 2005 16:40 GMT2
I'm slowly getting used to MT-Newswatcher 3.4.2 on my G4 Quicksilver
using OS 10.3.9.
When I used Outlook Express on OS 9.2.2, I was able to create two
separate signature blocks for various mailings.  One was a simple
Comparing Font Reserve to Suitcase04 Jul 2005 15:03 GMT5
System is 10.3.9, but as soon as Thursby's DAVE and ProSoft's Novell client
are released for Tiger, I'm upgrading.
I now have Suitcase 11, and I'm familiar with its shortcomings that matter to
me: (1) can't back up sets; (2) a missing font can't be relinked to new
Opera and Firefox slow on Mac04 Jul 2005 08:27 GMT1
Opera and Firefox are much slower loading pages (esp. pictures) than
safari. Why is that? I don't see a difference when downloading big
files. Just it takes much more time on Opera (or Firefox) to load a page
(e.g. nytimes.com) completely than on Safari.

Can I record the audio of another application in GarageBand? For

I know I could also *import* the MP3 file directly (by dragging the file

iTunes "now playing" album art as wallpaper?03 Jul 2005 15:55 GMT12
I've been hunting around the net for a program to do this for ages, and
am amazed that I haven't been able to find one.
I want a program that simply takes the album art from the currently
playing track in iTunes, and sets it as my wallpaper. Some of my tracks
iTunes, iPods, and audiobooks03 Jul 2005 13:13 GMT2
Apparently, if you buy audio books from the iTunes store, then iTunes
and the iPod treat them in a special way: if you stop listening in the
middle of a book then the ipod will start where you left off.  They are
also supposed to appear magically under a separate menu item in the
