Installed a Logitech two-button mouse with an application switch on my
Mac.  The box says built for OS X, but on closer inspection, its an
older version, somewhere in the range of 10.2 - 10.2.8.  The mouse
wouldn't work, so I uninstalled it and replaced my Macally optical.

a good minute (while Word is connecting to the server).
Then the Print window finally appears followed by more ball spinning

string search on 10.422 Jun 2005 04:22 GMT1
Is there a utility in Tiger that can be used to locate exact strings in
documents or folders of documents?  I mean besides using grep or
something like it, from the command line.  I can't make spotlight do
this, so I assume it uses some kind of indexing technology.
Retrospect & Tiger22 Jun 2005 01:33 GMT2

version 6.x needs a new version to work under Tiger, but the
single-user backup 5.0.238 seems to play nicely with Tiger.
