How to catalog iTunes tracks29 Jun 2005 14:29 GMT6
I am looking for a way to catalog the iTunes ratings given to my iTunes
music collection (with the songs of course). I recently lost my ratings
info due to a crash and I do not want to repeat the tedious process of
having to listen to hundreds of songs in order to re-rate them.
Laptops in France29 Jun 2005 12:49 GMT9
I have some friends moving to France. They have a new Ibook running Tiger.
Do they need a converter for France's 50mhz electric?
Who is a major discount hardware seller in France?
Do they need a separate converter for an external firewire Hard Drive?

Looking on SourceForge got me Audacity, but that ran into trouble when I

Printing, or capturing, Apple Help files?28 Jun 2005 22:11 GMT1
I keep asking the following question because I guess I just can't
believe the answers I've gotten to earlier queries:
Is there really no simple way to print the Apple Help
files for an app or utility that uses the Apple Help system
how to watch .wmv28 Jun 2005 18:04 GMT6
I can't seem to get .wmv files to play (neither with MPlayer, Windows
Media Player nor VLC).
Gotta be doing something wrong - especially, since it used to work a
(longish) time back...
iTunes: Multiple art in multiple tracks28 Jun 2005 10:24 GMT6
Is it possible to add multiple images as album art to multiple tracks in
iTunes, at once?
You can do it once track at a time, but if you do "Get info" on multiple
tracks, the art box only accepts one image, even if you drop more than
Looking for Mac Heavy File Management App28 Jun 2005 07:12 GMT2
Looking for a Mac app that will, for example, allow me to view the
contents of around 100 + CDs, copy them to the hard drive, arrange all
the files by type (extension,)  rename files as necessary, archive
(zip) the files, delete any unwanted files, copy and move files to
how to burn an audio book to CD28 Jun 2005 04:58 GMT6
I have an audio book I purchased at the iTMS (m4b files) that I want to
transfer to audio CDs. Each of the files is over 2 hours long, so iTunes
asks if I want to put it on multiple CDs. When I say yes, I get another
message stating that putting items purchased at the iTMS on ...
Custom folder icons?28 Jun 2005 00:58 GMT3
Quick, simple way to customize folder icons?
(I know about Iconographer and pic2icon -- but I mostly only want to
slap a couple letters onto a generic folder icon, in the fastest,
simplest fashion.   Illustrator, Photoshop Elements available.)

I use Outlook a lot and it has an easy Rules function where I can
autmatically have mail I send or receive get forwarded to, say, A
webmail account I have somewhere, perhaps for old e-mail storage. Can I
do this with the Mail app. and how? (Not interested in Entourage, btw.

Keynote export problem with Tiger OS27 Jun 2005 07:18 GMT1
Since installing Keynote and Tiger, the Powerpoint export is not
accurate. A number of the slides have the wrong master, which renders
the presentation fairly useless..
I have also had the error message when exporting to Powerpoint. For

There may be a better place for this query, but I don't know where.
I am looking for a Widget that displays GMT. Has anyone come across such
an animal?

I Guess Mac's Work Pretty Good26 Jun 2005 13:21 GMT5
I was musing over on usenet's apps and system newsgroups use to have
bejillions of daily messages 6-8 years ago.  Comparitively, it's hardly
