when replying to an email, the Mail program always places the cursor in a "top-posting" mode. i have seen that most people consider top-posting to be incorrect and i tend to agree, but Mail seems to have no provision other than to manually place the cursor below the incoming

have lite-on 1633s dual layer dvd burner. has anyone got it to burn cd's with itunes 2 on os 9.2.2? I have search xclr8yourmac and their hack of modifying "string" in authoring support file did not work for me.

I have a 6 mos old IMAC, Mac OS X 10.3.9, use Entourage for email, and use Firefox. When I receive an email and click on a link within it, it opens in Explorer. Is there something I can do to have it open with my browser

In Firefox, you can enter a website name without the "www" and ".xxx" and complete the latter with Cmd-Return for ".com", Shift-Return for ".net" and Cmd-Shift-Return for ".org". Is there any similar functionality in Safari? I've looked at all the Keyboard Shortcut lists

PGP8 doesn't work for Tiger and the upgrade is $69. Pretty stiff if you ask me. In fact it is so much, that I don't feel like upgrading, but rather would like to try an alternative. I understand GPG works for mail, but there is no alternative to PGP

Several applications on my OS9-based system, from Word to Photoshop, completely freezes, requiring a cold reboot, whenever you access the "Page Setup" area of the app. In Word, it says it's trying to "access the printer." I'm running a G4 single processor. This is a brand new

I've tried to figure this out. It must be easy, but I'm stumped. I have a database of names and email addresses with both fields set to not allow duplicates. However, when I paste in bulk entries (using list view) it accepts duplicate entries with no warnings.

I want to get rid of many of my widgets as they bloat in memory very quickly going up as high as 100 megabytes. A few are useful but they overall are memory hogs. Followed the procdure in hlep but got nowhere. They're still there. Any help?
