In Panther, you could use the Disk Utility to disable journaling. Why is this no longer an option in Tiger's version? Also, in Tiger Safari you can't remove the Google search tab from the address bar. Why?

Mac users, Want to get high-speed internet service, but not sure which to get for Mac. If I use my local telephone service ("can you hear me now?"), they use MSN Premium as their software. It is not available for Mac.

I'm using a PowerMac G4 OS 10.3.9 that has an external LG DVD burner. The Mac only has an internal CD reader. There is no Apple DVD player installed by 10.3.9, as I guess on install it didn't detect a DVD drive. What program is recommended for watching DVDs with the LG? Will ...

I have my homepage set to www.ora.com . Several times tonight, Safari failed to render their homepage -- I would just see the source as text. Doing a reload on the page fixed the problem. Now, it's not happening at all (and I didn't have the sense to save the unrenderable

Can''t reply. Input in body does not type. Any one else?? I hit reply and nothing happens. When I try to compose the first letters a!re OK but once I Space there is no cursor.

...did Apple take away the Status Bar, so that the only way you can tell what Mail.app is doing is if you give up more screen space and open the "Activity Viewer" window? I liked seeing what the program was doing as I looked at my inbox.
