When I open an xtern I see the following PATH:
G4:~ per$ echo $PATH

A friend has asked whether there's any software in the "standard" OSX
distro that can simply copy microphone input to a WAV file.  I couldn't
find an answer.

Since about one and a half months I own an IMac G5.  It's my first
Apple.  The only computers I had before that were Atari 8 bit computers.
Now for my question.

I am running Windows XP with iTunes on it and would like to move my
songs on to another computer. I have iTunes on that computer also and
would like to move it there. I do not have an iPod. Please Help. Thanks

All is well for me with Tiger (PB G4 1.33mgh), except that Safari will
crash when I try to open it, will open on the third try.
I am using Firefox as the default browser.

is there someone that can explain me how to assign the standard browser

My copy of Tiger came with a trial version of iWork. The default dictionary
is (US) English. It is possible in any given document to change the
dictionary to British (or other variation of) English. However, there
appears to be no way to set a non (US) English default. I am sure ...

In order to make the upgrade from Panther to Tiger, I'd like to backup
my files to DVD's.
I'm trying to do this using Toast 6.0.7 but everytime I get the error
code "file .bash_history could not be accessed".

i'm having trouble adding a pop account to mail. i enter all the
information it asks for but i can't send or recieve emails. i've had
a mac for 6 months so i'm semi new, i used to use outlook but now
that i have a mac i tried to use mail but i can't seem to do it

I just ordered my Tiger upgrade from Apple today and am looking
