| Any tutorials or texts on AppleScript Studio? | 30 Apr 2005 23:49 GMT | 12 |
I've got my Mac Mini hooked up to my TV set, still with the keyboard and mouse, but I'm waiting for the touchscreen to be delivered, so I can remove the KM and just have the V. I've started doing some AppleScripts to control iTunes and to show videos through QT.

MS Word (version 10.1) running on my iMacG5 (1.6 GHz, 768 MB RAM, OSX10.3.8) keeps crashing. It simply vanishes. No emergency backup of the document I'm working on is available when I restart. The usual offer of sending a crash report is not made.

Out of the blue, I am now getting little lock icons on the images I export from Photoshop's "Save for Web" feature. It doesn't seem to affect the files at all, as I can open them just fine. And Get Info shows that the file isn't locked. I'm just trying to figure out why

| Another Tiger Question | 29 Apr 2005 02:38 GMT | 12 |
I'm interested in Tiger, from what I've seen at Apple's website, but am hesitant to purchase my copy right away. I usually (with my Winboxes) wait a few months after a new OS comes out because I'm fearful of things being broken then having to wait on the fix, even if its only a ...

Hello, I want to crop and split some of my longer MP3 files at specific points. Can I do this without converting them to another format. If I use Sound Studio I have to convert MP3 to AIFF and then convert back again. Am I losing any sound quality in doing it this way?

| Why do people brag about how great Macintoshes are? | 28 Apr 2005 22:11 GMT | 265 |
Why do people brag about how great Macintoshes are? I have a G4 tower and System 9.21 and I can't copy a file onto a CD unless I buy a special program, such as Toast. John

| Undeleting files | 28 Apr 2005 11:55 GMT | 2 |
I lost a file recently when Apple Mail did an rm -rf on it's mbox instead of moving it to the trash or something friendly like that. Is there a way to recover files under OS/X with nothing (like Norton) pre-installed? Anything freeware/shareware? Does OS/X immediately reuse

| Can I turn off auto fill in Address Book? | 28 Apr 2005 01:21 GMT | 1 |
Inadvertently, I made some incorrect entries early on in Address Book. When I first typed in my local state, I forgot to hit the tab before entering a zip code. Now, every time I enter the state, I have to hit the delete button to rid the entry of a zip code. There are a few ...
