updating itunes with new songs10 Mar 2005 15:46 GMT3
I am running itunes on a PC and add new tunes from a download folder

not update the total number of songs.  I can not find any refresh
No calculator window10 Mar 2005 01:07 GMT2
Calculator 3.1 (v3.2) on OS 10.3.2 opens with no window.  It opens
normally for other users.  I can get the window by clicking Show Paper
Tape, but every time I open the application there is no window again.

recharging ipod mini over usb 1.109 Mar 2005 10:41 GMT1
I read that the ipod doesn't ship with a charger a/c for the ipod mini
and it got recharged through a usb 2.0 port.  Does anyone know how long
recharging would take over a standard usb 1.1 port ?
Does Virtual PC 7 operate with its own IP address?09 Mar 2005 09:26 GMT4
Does Virtual PC 7 act just like another computer as far as the local
subnet is concerned? That is, does it access the LAN using its own
unique subnet IP address, or does it have the same IP address as the
Mac on which it's running?
Setting static IP addresses on Airport09 Mar 2005 02:13 GMT5
Howdy all.  I recently switched to using an Apple Airport Extreme.  With
my old D-Link router, I could assign static IP addresses to my home
computers, but I don't see how to set up static IP addresses in the
Airport setup utility.  Any tips here?
mail.app keeps forgetting what I've read08 Mar 2005 22:00 GMT11
Is this a known problem? Many times when I start the app, all the email in
it is flagged as unread. I go back and 'read' it all, then check for new
mail, and several of those old items pop back up as unread.

Dial from Address Book?08 Mar 2005 21:16 GMT7
I'm lookiing for a possibility to dial the phone from within the Address
Book. I want to dial an old fashioned analogue phone line with the Mac's
internal modem. All I've found is the possibility to dial with a
BlueTooth mobile phone, but that's not what I'm looking for.
Beware of PureFTPd Manager -- Hacker!08 Mar 2005 20:17 GMT2
Within hours of installing this program, my Mac was hit with a hacking
attempt. Let me outline why I see the two being related and let the user
decide.

Photoshop Elements 308 Mar 2005 19:59 GMT1
My biggest problem with Photoshop Elements 3 is that it seems to be
*very* slow to open (on an iBook G4 with Panther).  Spends a long time
fiddling with preferences, etc.
Secondary gripe: It doesn't seem to be able to open picture clippings
files that I can't delete from desktop08 Mar 2005 17:48 GMT4
I have to constantly download student files in order to grade them.
They are always in jpg format. When I try to delete them from my
desktop, it says that they are busy, or being used by another function.
I can't even move them into a folder, they are creating quite a pile on
