Copy & Paster for Lists- Suggestions Please29 Mar 2005 02:04 GMT5
I've been using CopyPaste for years for copying multiple snippets.  But
now I am looking for an application that will take a list of single
words or small phrases and allow you to plug them in one at a time using
the SAME simple keystroke.  In other words, you give the app the ...
ipod jumping forward 30 seconds29 Mar 2005 01:57 GMT4
I record talk shows that have commercials.  Does the ipod have the
capability to jump forward by 30 sec to 1 min.  Something like a button
so while I'm driving its quick to fast forward through the commercials.
Thanks,
Pop Char29 Mar 2005 01:23 GMT10
Is there a Pop Char for OS X.  I have used it a lot in OS 9 and more
elderly. It is a fast way to get any special character the fontographer
included in the font set.  I know you can do a sequence of key strokes to
get some things like umlauts but just try to get that very special
how can I delete songs from iPod?28 Mar 2005 23:08 GMT4
I know how to do it from ITunes, then next time I sync it'll be gone
from iPod. But usually I'm on a plane and realize a particular song is
worthless, and want to delete it from the iPod directly. How can I do
this?
question about perl convention28 Mar 2005 22:04 GMT4
I'd ask in the perl newsgroup, but it's full of humorless droids and
jerks. Unlike Mac newsgroups.
So I'm reading about the suits rejecting Fiona Apple's last album because
there weren't any singles in it and it wouldn't sell. (That's too kind, by
Spinning Ball28 Mar 2005 07:46 GMT2
I am using OS 10.1.3  and AppleWorks. Recently when using text there is a
delay in letters appearing while the spinning coloured ball does its
thing. This happens frequently. Under pre OSX I would have rebuilt the
desktop etc.  Anybody know how to address this problem ?
iMovie vs. iMovie HD28 Mar 2005 05:53 GMT9
I bought iLife '05 which includes "iMovie HD".  The installation process
did not delete the old "iMovie" from the Application folder.
Double-clicking on icon "iMovie" does not launch anything.  So, is
"iMovie" completely obsolete now?
iPod problem.  Can someone please help.28 Mar 2005 02:23 GMT3
When I plug my iPod in to charge (add / delete tunes) , MY iPOD never
opens iTunes and displays my iPod listings.  All I can do currentIy is
listen to what is already on the iPod.  I read that there was a problem
using iSight w/ the iPod, but I don't have that.

[10.2.8] General App Instability27 Mar 2005 20:00 GMT3
Hey folks,
I am wondering what one can do in the face of general application
instability. I use the iMac G4 for Internet stuff... AOL and IE
primarily ... and they both Unexpectedly Quit fairly often.
Tous Comptes Faits - What the heck is this thing?27 Mar 2005 19:52 GMT7
I recently did an archive and install of my 10.3.6 OS followed by
an upgrade to 10.3.8. This managed to break several of my
applications (pieces lost in Libraries, etc.) necessitating
several reinstalls.
Returning monitor to original settings27 Mar 2005 17:33 GMT3
I have a Mac G4, dual 867 mhz processors, system 10.3.7. I am using an
Apple Studio Display (flat screen) 17 inch monitor. I am trying to run
a program that will create a proper color profile for the monitor that
will match that in the printer. The object is to adjust the monitor so
How does Terminal.app change the window title?27 Mar 2005 00:54 GMT1
Terminal.app has the nice feature of changing the window title to show what
command is currently running.  How does it do that?  The shell that's
actually executing the commands is a separate process.  In fact, if I make
a little shell script and execute it, the window title ...
OSX 10.3 faxing - does it have an activity log?26 Mar 2005 23:28 GMT6
Is there a logfile anywhere of the status of fax jobs sent or queued?
I'm running 10.3.8 on an iMac G4.
I just tried faxing an AppleWorks document. Apparently the Fax List
window and the Internal Modem window, and the modem sounds from the
Thoth Doesn't Apply Personality26 Mar 2005 16:45 GMT1
In "Edit Newsgroup Settings," under "Messages," I select the
personality that I wish to use. But Thoth always defaults to "None."
How do I fix this so that I don't have to remember to manually choose
the appropriate personality for each post? TIA!!
