When I download a dmg file using Firefox, it shows up as a binary file, and suggests that I use a hex editor to open it (the file shows the hex editor's icon). Being a dmg file, there's no application to drag n' drop it onto to get it to

Friday February 18, 2005 5:03PM I am constantly filling in boxes on web pages when buying stocks. Firefox remembers the stock symbols I type and presents them in a drop down menu. I would like to be able to edit these menu suggestions.

I have an iBook with OSX 10.3.2 and only ever need to run one application under the Classic environment - Adobe Photoshop LE 4.0 which I have as a result of purchasing a CanoScan FS2710 slide scanner. I have no prior experience or knowledge of MacOS 9.

I have the open source code in C for a small scientific application that I'd like to compile and run on my Mac. I don't want to have to buy a C compiler just for this one little piece of code. Anybody got any ideas how I can get this thing compiled? I'd be willing to pay someone ...

I tried the obvious of dragging one album folder onto another, but nothing happens. Hierarchical folders was one of the big attractions of v5 but I can't get it to work. What am I missing? Thanks - Jim

Folks I try to connect to a Mac OSX 10.2 server via SSH. Everything works fine except that the server does not seem to allow port forwarding.

I have some perfectly good AIFF audio files on my desktop with full permissions. When I try to import them into iTunes (File:Import) as condensed MP3 or AAC files, I cannot select them as they are all greyed out.
