I'd like to do a incremental backup of my desktop computer's HD to an external HD as often as every evening, either as a scheduled backup or initiated when I quit for the day -- but does that mean I either have to attach and detach the external HD each time, or else leave it ...

Double click the icon (which BTW is a generic application icon) and it does the "zoom" thing (looks like it is launching). Then... nothing. Crash reporter log for iPhoto lists nothing for this non-event. Ideas?

Well, I recently got a new iMac and did the transfer thingee of all my stuff and now Photoshop Elements 1.0 doesn't work right anymore. Not surprising, I guess--that was the oldest piece of software I still used on a regular basis. So I guess I'm going to be upgrading to 3.0,
