iPhoto Replacement (upgrade)17 Jan 2005 21:44 GMT28
Having acquired a Canon 20D dSLR (my first digicam), I am considering
alternatives to iPhoto.
I really like iPhoto but assume it is an "entry level" app.
What other, "better" photo management software are there?

Greetings!  I now have about 2,000 mp3 tunes in my iTunes library.
They are all stored in ~/myname/Music/iTunes Music/ -- is this a

One problem is this:  In iTunes, if I click on certain songs, I get
iWork's Pages -- indexing?17 Jan 2005 00:55 GMT3
Does Pages have a tool for creating indexes? I see it has one for the

Clicking on URLs in MT-NewsWatcher sees or doesn't see Netscape16 Jan 2005 21:49 GMT2
Option-clicking on URLs in MT-NewsWatcher running in Classic on an OS X
machine brings up the web site via Netscape 7.0 running under OS X if
Netscape is already running, but brings up a "Missing Helper" error
message if it isn't -- and futzing with the MT-NW prefs doesn't seem ...

this pref, for crying out loud.
Comments on TeXShop for Mac?16 Jan 2005 18:23 GMT2
If it's true that Blue Sky is really not going to complete its upgrade
of Textures for Mac OS X (?????), I'll have to find a replacement.
TeXShop has been recommended -- but its web page opens with the
somewhat puzzling assertion that:
