I've been playing around with VBR encoding lately and the MP3's that
iTunes produces are a little alarming.  Using the "highest" quality
setting and 96 kbps for the minimum bit rate (what's the point of VBR
if you waste bits with a high minimum bitrate), most MP3's are getting
