Running under Mac OS 9.2.  Have downloaded IE 5.1.7 from the Mactopia
site in both .bin and .hqx versions but attempts to instal bring the
message that I don't have the necessary privileges to do this. Wasn't
aware that a privilege would be required to re-instal an existing free

emails. Apparently it's a Mac thing and can be remedied by clicking off my

About a month or so ago, I installed IE 5.2.3 on my G5 - this installation
broke many features I had come to rely on, so I removed the program and

Each every time the quote symbol ( " ) is used within the e-mail, it
inserts (..") instead.  When I forward an email, no one can read
it...does the (") change to (") due to hotmail, msn, mac osx,
int. explorer????? can someone help me?

text-align doesn't work for text boxes on the Mac? Here is an example, it's
fine for tables and paragraphs but not for text boxes. Any work around?

I have an iMac 9.0.4 US and have been unsuccsessful in

Every time I fire up IE5 (which I have to admit is not often) I'm
asked if I'd like to make it my default browser.
I would not. I have a better default browser, Firefox, which is faster

I want to display specific Charsets from my website like: Arabic
(iso-8859-6) or Thai (windows-874) so they display on all browsers but
for some reason the above charsets are not listed in my installation
of IE 5.2 on the Mac.  Can other users see these charsets on their IE

I am receiving the error unable to establish a secure
connection and am using Internet Explorer 4.5 on a
