FireFox/Mozilla and SMB homedirs31 Jan 2006 05:33 GMT2
I have an environment in which all home dirs reside on Linux and
Solaris (soon to be killed) file servers. We have set up a NetBoot
environment for our Mac users that serves home dirs using Samba. This
has worked quite well, with one exception. FireFox (thru 1.5) and
Outgoing Mail Server Requires Authentication26 Jan 2006 18:12 GMT3
I'm told by my ISP (suddenly) that my Outgoing mail server requires
authentication. How do I accomplish this, using Moz 1.7.2, OSX.2.8?
Phantom "New Message Received"26 Jan 2006 17:22 GMT4
I am getting the little green arrow and a beep showing that a new
message has been received, but when I click on the inbox, there is
nothing. No junk mail box set up, so what's  happening? TIA
27 crashes > one common cause25 Jan 2006 09:18 GMT2
Firefox 1.5 has crashed on me 27 times since I installed it less than 2
months ago. In nearly every instance, I was using the scroll bar when
it flicked out of existence.  I'm using Mac OS X 10.3.7.  I don't know
if this is a weakness in Firefox or a problem with this version of OS
NS 7.2 Duplicating Bookmarks File.13 Jan 2006 17:45 GMT12
For some reason, NS 7.2 (under OS X - 10.4.3 to be specific) is

OK, I'm completely new to mac, long time pc'er, first day on a new G5, first

Please forgive me if this topic has been covered, but I posted this to
the Netscape 7 group, which seems to have disappeared in the last day or
two:

Firefox Keyboard problem?09 Jan 2006 17:12 GMT2
Greetings. I'm using Firefox 1.0.7 on Mac OS 10.4.2. After a few
minutes of running Firefox, my keyboard becomes unresponsive, but just
within firefox. Command functions still work. For example, I can type
something in another application, copy it, and then switch to Firefox
Capturing the URL to a PDF page, without downloading the page?04 Jan 2006 16:54 GMT6
While viewing a certain home page using Netscape 7.2 in Mac OS X, I see
a highlighted (i.e., underlined and colored) link to what I know is
actually a PDF web page or file.
How can I (quickly, reliably) capture the *complete* URL for that PDF

Enter/Return from the Search Bar doesn't work?03 Jan 2006 11:49 GMT5
Running Firefox 1.5 (20051111) on my iBook (OS X version 10.4.3) -- I'm
new to Mac, so this may just be an OS X thing that I'm not hip to,
but... when I click in to the Firefox search bar or hit Apple-K to move
the cursor there, I can type in my query. When I hit enter to execute
